Subsurface Imaging is performing radar and utility locating services for LAX’s Automated People Mover (APM) for the duration of the project, projected to open to passenger service in 2023.

LAX broke ground on this electric train system in March 2019, and the guideway will include six stations in total—three inside the terminal and three outside. Subsurface has operated during the construction, touching almost every part of the airport and mapping for existing utilities both for new build-outs and tenant improvements.
