Concrete Coring and GPR on Long Beach Aquarium Expansion
$53 Million Aquarium Expansion
Long Beach, CA
Subsurface Imaging was hired to complete concrete coring and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services in the expansion of the Pacific Visions Aquarium in Long Beach, CA.
The Pacific Visions project was a $53 Million expansion which required concrete coring and GPR work to safely expand the spaces in the aquarium. Subsurface Imaging had to take great care when performing their concrete coring services, as many of the penetrations were over the shark tank and the research center. Dust and slurry containment and avoiding sensitive equipment and piping was vital to this project.
